Content Workbench 3.0 - features

Navigation

The general navigation is changed in a way that that the user first finds the catalog and then selects what to do with it. In previous version the user started with selecting what to do and then selected catalog. With this change the user interface gets cleaner and easier to work with.

My Catalogs – the new dashboard

My Catalogs is the new dashboard showing the user all catalogs where the user is catalog owner. It now has a search function. By clicking on the Catalog Name the user gets access to more details on the catalog, see Catalog Details below.

From My Catalogs the user has a quick access to the relevant actions, for example enrichment of catalog and downloading the catalog.

Catalog Details – gives the full picture

On catalog details page the user can see the history and the status of current and previous catalog versions. This gives a better transparency in the catalog update process.

Existing catalog owners may also give other users ownership to the catalog or change the catalog settings, for example the catalog name or the description.

Approving catalogs – in one single step

The user now gets access to the difference report on the same screen as where to approve or reject the catalog. In this way the user always has access to the latest difference report when making the decision.

In most cases the approver also is responsible for the enrichment. By clicking Approve the user gets directly to the Enrichment step without having to go via the Work list.

Enrichment of catalogs – more possibilities

Download and upload of enrichment template are now on the same screen. This ensures that the user always has access to the latest enrichment when making an update.

It is also possible to upload draft enrichment and complete it at a later stage. This facilitates cooperation between several users.
If the enrichment does not need to be changed it is also possible to click Finish directly without uploading an enrichment file.
The new enrichment function has more possibilities and makes work easier.

Manage Catalog Ownership

It is now easier for buyer administrators to manage the catalog ownership within the organization. There are two ways to change the catalog ownership; search for the catalog and change assignment of users, or search for a user and change assignment of catalogs.

Act as supplier

Buyer users that today have two separate logins, one for the buy-side and one for the supplier-side will experience a great improvement. They will get a new menu item, where they simply can act as a supplier and get access to the supplier functionality without a separate login.
