Hydro Aluminium (HAL) chooses IBX to increase purchasing efficiency IBX and Hydro Aluminium (HAL) have entered into a 5 year agreement, where IBX will deliver e-business solutions and consulting services to develop Hydro Aluminium's e-procurement system. In its initial phase, this cooperation will result in more effective purchasing of indirect goods and services for the business units. The agreement is international in scope and covers all Hydro Aluminium's locations in Europe. Hydro Aluminium Norway and Hydro Aluminium Deutschland GmbH will be the first to benefit from the agreement. The agreement with Hydro Aluminium is an important milestone for IBX.
IBX has previously entered into similar deals with other large organizations such as Skanska, IKEA, Lufthansa, and Lego. IBX's experience with these types of agreements and the international opportunities offered by IBX were crucial in Hydro Aluminium's selection of IBX. - We would like, in line with our strategy, to improve our purchasing process, as well as communicate with our suppliers in the most efficient way for both us and them. Thus, we have chosen the market place solution that IBX offer. In this way we will use modern tools and electronic processes, while at the same time reducing our transaction costs.
